Hello, my name is CJ Christensen and I am a student at UC Davis majoring in Animal Science. I have a 10 year old Dachshund mix named Rudy, who often supervises my treat making and acts as my quality control taste tester. As an animal lover and advocate, I feel I am here on earth to serve animals and make sure they stay happy and healthy. While working at vet clinics, I witnessed the true reality of widespread canine obesity in our country. The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention found that in North America, more than 50% of our companion dogs are overweight. I decided to build my small business around the prevention of this common issue. Obesity, being one of the most avoidable diseases in dogs, is something we, as owners, can monitor for and treat in our furry friends. I completely understand wanting to spoil your dog, but what many people don't understand is that you can spoil your pup without risking their health in the process. I want to give owners the opportunity to treat their dogs in a healthy way. In doing so, you can keep those little butts wiggling while also prolonging their time with you in the process. Dogs lives are too short as it is.
