Why Are My Biscuits Green?

Spirulina, a type of dried algae, is an ingredient I use in my dog biscuits. It has a very strong green pigment that distributes through the biscuit batter. It is a part of my recipe because it is a superfood that has scientifically proven benefits for humans and animal health. These benefits include:
- assistance to gut health
- weight loss support
- cholesterol management
- assistance to heart health
- serotonin support
- blood pressure management
- anemia treatment
- metabolism support
- diabetes management
- support in fighting allergies
- possible cancer preventative

Why Are My Biscuits Different Shades/Colors?

Based on the treats position in the dehydrator some treats come out more green or more brown than others. This does NOT mean they are any less delicious. All of my treats are checked to ensure full dryness before they are packaged and sent over to you. This makes sure they will last 6-12 months with you and your pup.

How Much Powder Do I Feed My Dog/Put in Their Food?

For the powder supplements up 1 tsp per 10 lbs per day

For powder flavor boosters you can do up to 2 tsp per 10 lbs per day

For all powders please start with just a dash a day and slowly increase each 3-5 days while monitoring for a upset tummy. All of these powders have really healthy supplements and herbs that your pups tummies might not be used to.

Why Are My Some of My Fruit Bites Crispy and Some of Them Leathery?

All fruit is fully dehydrated. Depending on the exact thickness, size and ripeness of the fruit pieces when they enter the dehydrator the pieces can come out with different textures. The placement within the dehydrator can effect the speed the pieces are dehydrated and can affect texture as well. But I assure you all of the pieces you receive are fully dry and can keep fresh for 12 months in the freezer,  6 months in the pantry and between 6-12 months in the fridge.
